Many of the questions we hear most often are covered in our FAQ document.
What EVENTS ARE HAPPENING?
We have a lot of meetings at VentureSouth, but you can quickly pick up our regular cadence via our Member Calendar.
We hold a monthly member meeting on the 4th Tuesday of each month, and regular in-person meetings on varying schedules across our various markets.
We also host an online educational session each month, plus other events including portfolio reviews and social events.
It helps us immensely if you RSVP for meetings, which you can do via the “Sign Up” button on calendar entries in the Member Calendar. Thanks in advance!
WHERE DO YOU KEEP DEAL INFORMATION?
Introductory information on all open investment rounds can be found on our open rounds page. There are usually several open rounds available at any given time.
We use Vicinity Ventures as our primary method of tracking deal flow, documents, and portfolio performance. You can learn more about access to Vicinity Ventures here.
HOW DO I MAKE AN INVESTMENT?
When you are ready to make an investment, follow these steps:
Commitment. To indicate your investment commitment, click on the relevant “Admission Agreement” link on the open rounds page and submit your information.
Documents.
The Admission Agreement formally adds you to the operating agreement for the relevant VentureSouth investment entity (currently VentureSouth Vicinity 1 LLC.) You can review its operating agreement at this link (and please email if you need prior entities).
A copy of your admission agreement will be saved to your documents folder in Vicinity Ventures.
You can learn more about investment entities, series, and other legal structures in the Investment Overview document linked above.
Funding.
Once we receive your signature, we will send you a payment link to fund your investment via ACH through the FINSYNC platform (you may need to check your spam folder if you don’t see the email come through within a few hours).
Click on "View Invoice", set up your account (it’s free), and make the payment. If you have problems, please email us any time.
If you prefer to mail a check, please send it to VentureSouth Headquarters (address below), payable to the investment entity (e.g. VentureSouth Vicinity 1), and please remember to include the 4% additional capital contribution.
